William Glen Knott was born on June 26, 1938, in Denison, Iowa, the daughter of Edward E. and Grace Annunciata (Eggers) Knott. He graduated from Denison High School in Denison,
IA.  He received further education at Northwest Missouri State.  He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.

He worked as one of the first Blue Bunny ice cream route drivers, a school bus driver in Denison, IA, and his proudest job as a police officer in Denison, Iowa.  While visiting
his mother at the Eventide Nursing Home, he met a nurse, LeAnn Fagen.  On March 15, 1986, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, LeAnn, in Denison, Iowa.

When Bill retired from police enforcement, Bill and LeAnn moved to rural Rhodes, Iowa in 1989 with their one-year-old daughter Sarah.  He stayed home and took care of their
acreage.  He enjoyed hunting and any time with animals.  He always had several dogs and in his later years a farm cat would always find his way to his front porch.  He enjoyed
spending time with Sarah, going to her numerous music concerts, and became a Horse Show Dad, learning about horses as they went along the way with their horse, Sheldon.  He loved
watching western movies.

Left to cherish his memory one daughter: Sarah Annunciata Knott and son-in-law Kenneth Murphy of Great Neck, NY and one brother: James “Jim” Knott of Carroll, IA.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, LeAnn Knott, his parents, brother Terry Knott, sister Gerriann Kozak, and numerous pets.
