Ron graduated from the State Center High School’s Class of 1959 and the Cedar Rapids School of Business in 1961. Ron was employed at Iowa Electric in Cedar Rapids in bookkeeping when his father broke his leg. He returned home to farm the home place and was also employed at State Center Feed and Grain in bookkeeping for over 27 years.

Ron was a very social and much loved gentleman in the State Center community. He served on the State Center Township, the Kiwanis Club, St. Paul Lutheran and playing cards. He enjoyed winters in Texas, mowing the lawn and time with family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Douglas (Holle) Henze and Randy (Amy) Henze, four grandchildren- Jeffry, Daniel, Ella and Adam as well as many other family members who mourn his loss.

In death, Ron rejoined his parents, sister, Annabelle Winters and a dear friend, Doug Schilling.
