David Ewalt Lively, 80, Mesquite, NV

David Ewalt Lively, 80, of Mesquite, NV, passed away unexpectedly January 26, 2023, in Las Vegas, NV. His beloved wife and best friend of 35 years, Gloria, was by his side.

Dave was born on December 16, 1942, to Austin and Claire (Ewalt) Lively of State Center.  He graduated from State Center High School with the class of 1961.  For many years Dave worked for and then became owner of Western Business Forms where he was a successful salesman and loved by all.  For over 50 years, Dave was a proud member of the Masons. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and loved to camp.

Survivors include his daughter Debbie (Leroy) Aschbacher of Colorado, and sons Allan Lively of Idaho, and Greg (Angie) Lively of Florida, as well as two stepdaughters Tracy (Raymond) Estey of California and Wendy (Bryce) Benjamin of Virginia.  He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and his sisters Meryle (Lively) Smith of Colo, IA and Connie (Lively) Tinkham of Maxwell, IA.  Dave will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his son Mathew Lively, parents, and brothers-law Charles (Chuck) Tinkham and James D. (Jim) Smith.

Cremation rights have been accorded and a memorial service in celebration of Dave’s life will be held at a later date.
