Born on November 17th, 1937, in State Center, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Velma (Schuler) Loney. She graduated from the State Center High School in 1955. She was a faithful and lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and worked for Liston grocery in State Center and as a child-care provider for family and friends.

Sandra had a special place in her heart for animals and enjoyed them inside and outside her home (as her memorial fund testifies). Her family was precious and a highlight was watching her grandchildren graduate from high school and college. She enjoyed listening to country western on the radio and loved going to Hy-Vee- a trip never under four hours! Her visits with the staff members were special for all involved.

Left to cherish her memory are her children- Christine Davis of State Center and Lisa (Brett) Nichols of State Center; grandchildren- Nathan Davis of Minneapolis, MN, Megan Davis of Scottsdale, AZ, Austin (Chelsea) Nichols of State Center and Kaitlyn Nichols (Galen Perron) of State Center; great grandson Hudson Nichols of State Center; sister-in-law Donna Loney of West Des Moines, numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, friends and her faithful companion, Charlie the cat.

In death, Sandra rejoined her parents, her brother Veldon Loney (1991) and grandparents- Arent and Bessie Loney and William and Carrie Schuler.
