Michael A. Cordes, State Center, passed away on Monday, August 19th, under the care of Care Initiatives Hospice at State Center Specialty Care. Michael was born March 6, 1952, in Marshalltown. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1970. He was an active member of the Bobcat swim team. He had a career as a over-the-road truck driver Survivors include his brother Steve (Deb) Cordes of Marshalltown; cousin Leslie (Randy) Cordes of Florida; and best friends Larry and Beth Short along with John and Tracey Abate. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no formal service is planned.
